Not all ERECTOR sets have numbers on them.
Early sets and Special sets may be identified only by name.
Red or Blue metal box sets usually can be identified by the inside box label.
Later sets can be identified by the outside box art or set numbers that are printed on the box.
Also, instruction books differ from year to year in the same sets.
